A Reddit user was exploring Area 51 on Google Maps when they stumbled upon a bizarre structure: a mysterious triangular tower.
The building, which seems to be quite tall, has a monolithic shape and was found in the region that encompasses Area 51 in southern Nevada, USA.
The area is a hotspot for conspiracy theories involving the CIA’s secretive work to discover and study alien life forms, including UFOs and possibly even the creatures themselves.

However, sources say the building is a “communication tower used for military purposes.” According to the Dreamland Resort website, which focuses on conspiracy theories, the tower appeared in 2005.
“This new tall structure near the RCS mountain range, on the northern edge of Area 51, was built between September 28, 2005, and January 17, 2006. It is triangular in shape, about 48 meters tall, with three sides about 9 meters wide,” they wrote.
“By comparing various satellite images, it seems the tower may rotate around its central vertical axis. There are no support buildings nearby, but its proximity to the RCS may suggest it is controlled from there.”
